DATA FUSION TECHNIQUES and TARGET TRACKING APPLICATION

Abstract

Data fusion  is the name of the methods or procedures that collects the information from different or same sensors of physical, geometric or geographic signs to generate a meaning. Data fusion is a procedure formed from several stages. In this study, after examining  data fusion and the techniques that are used in data fusion, , data reliability which is one of the phases of data fusion subject, was examined. In this context, two different sensors at a given time for a moving object is assumed to be taken the speed and position information. Tracking information which belongs to target, is calculated for the time interval 1-15 sec. in MATLAB simulink. Predicted speed and position calculations and measurements which is detected by sensors are showed in the results of the calculation. The obtained results were evaluated by using fuzzy logic controller. Finally, according to the accuracy ratings of datas, it is provided a decision if the information can be used in data fusion or not in presented simulation study.
